Sporting bright purple workboots and a collection of whiskers, volunteers from the Macmahon team made a colourful sight to raise money for men’s health.
During Movember, the moustachioed crew donated almost $1400 to prostate cancer research and the national anti-depression initiative Beyond Blue.
The Movember campaign encourages men to seek help for health problems, particularly depression which affects one in six Australian men at some time during their life. It also aims to eradicate prostate cancer which kills 2,900 men in Australia each year - comparable with the number of women who die from breast cancer.
The purple boots are the latest brainchild of the Breast Cancer Foundation of WA and have helped raise more than $140,000 to fund breast cancer education around the country.
