Frogwatch gets a makeover

AFW Thumb

April 11, 2010

Our designers have been busy improving Creative Nature’s award winning website, Alcoa FrogWatch, with newly upgraded Javascript technology to create an even more user-friendly and interactive experience.

Winning ‘Best Overall Website’ and ‘Best Government Website’ at the 2008 WA Web Awards, Alcoa FrogWatch is an extensive interactive library listing all species of frogs found in Western Australia - each frog listing being accompanied by a wealth of stunning imagery, audio and data.

With additional implementations such as flash WAM publications previews and new gracefully degrading animation behaviours, the recent upgrade also makes for an even more pleasant overall user experience with far superior loading times.

“The new and improved Alcoa FrogWatch website makes learning fun, by combining new interactive design techniques with extensive collections of beautiful digital media and informative textual information”, said Senior UX Designer, Tim Paul.

“The website is now even better equipped to showcase Western Australia’s vast and unique collection of frogs”, added Creative Nature’s Principal Consultant, Chris Eriksson.
